Recommendations:
Children should be ready just before your appointed time: They should be in the clothes that you'd like them to be photographed in. Their hair should be ready. Faces and noses cleaned. Nappies changed!
It's a good idea to give them something light to eat before the shoot – a banana etc.
Tell them where they're going & what will happen there – make it exciting for them.
Parents will probably be asked to stand behind a screen or wall when the children are being photographed, so that they're at hand should we need them. Children do tend to act up and get very distracted when parents are visible in the room or call to them during the shoot. If you'd prefer not to be behind the screen please make every effort to stay close to the photographer as their eyes will be on you. No mobile phones or cameras of any sort are allowed during a professional shoot.
Big bold patterns, stripes and/or Logos will stand out in a photo and distract from the person's face, so it's best to avoid them.
If there are a number of people in the same shoot they should be somewhat coordinated – Don't have two people in Black and one in White.
Adults should also be ready – hair/makeup as you like it. Powder or pat down faces to avoid shine which can add weight to your face.
Long sleeves are more flattering than short sleeves.
Dark Colours are slimming.
V-necks are also slimming.
